Caleb Hinz

Percussion Paraprofessional

Caleb Hinz

Caleb Hinz, born and raised in the DFW metroplex, is a recent graduate of the University of North Texas. He has a Bachelors of Music in Musical Performance with a specialization in the percussive arts. During his time at UNT, he had the opportunity tostudy under some of the most well-known percussion educators in the country, as well as become versed in a wide range of percussion instruments and musical styles. He has also performed with the Dallas Brass Band and the Dallas Metropolitan Winds.

Mr. Hinz began his career at John Horn High School, where he taught private lessons for over a year during his time as an undergrad at UNT. He has also worked as a percussion technician for Frisco Centennial High School, Central High School, and mostrecently he was the battery Instructor for Nimitz High School in Irving ISD.

Mr. Hinz attributes much of his musical ability to the teachings of John Bingaman, the percussion director who trained him as student at Byron Nelson High School. Byron Nelson’s band program is also where he met his now recently married wife Kaylee, a second grade teacher in Northwest ISD. Mr. Hinz is eager to meet the students of the Rock Hill Band cluster and contribute to the growth of our outstanding percussion program. His primary responsibilities will be guiding the Front Ensemble, assisting with the Battery, teaching classes at Rogers Middle School, and Private Lessons at both Hays and Rock Hill.
