2021 UIL Area Competition
On Saturday, October 23rd, the Rock Hill Blue Hawk Band competed in the UIL Area B competition with a chance to advance to State. They had made it to Area by earning a first division rating at the Region 24 contest the week before and would be competing against the 21 best 5A bands in our Area.
After a great run in prelims early that day, they advanced to finals along with the 9 other bands. That night in finals competition they had their best performance to date and finished in 6th place narrowly missing advancement to State by only 2 spots. This is huge for a first year competitive program!
