2022 BOA North Texas Regional & UIL Region
On Saturday, October 15th, 2022, the Rock Hill Band competed in the Bands of America North Texas Regional hosted at their own Children’s Health Stadium in Prosper, TX and the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region competition in Little Elm.
This was the first time the Rock Hill Band performed all 6 movements of their show MAD. The competition at this BOA was just as intense as the past weekend’s as was evident in the final scoring with only 3.7 points separating 3rd – 8th place! Placing 10th in Prelims and moving up to 7th in Finals was a result of all of our kids’ hard work. In between Prelims and Finals performances, the Rock Hill Band also traveled to Little Elm and earned their second straight First Division Rating at UIL. This means the Rock Hill Band advances on to Area C 6A contest in Mesquite on Saturday Oct, 29th.
Performing three contest runs of a marching show of this caliber is unheard of, and the Rock Hill Band showed just how phenomenal and hard working these students are.
